Behold, the most alluring lime green silk dragon comforter that I have seen in quite some time and possibly ever in my decorating career. What a perfect example of how the bedding fabric sets the tone for the rest of the bedroom. In this case, the embroidered, gold dragons breathing fire and writhing their way across the top of the bedding will lead the way to an equally attractive layout for the rest of the bedroom that is striking and dramatic in an interesting color scheme.
I can imagine this oriental dragon comforter on a bed with a black lacquer headboard with the bedside tables and bedroom furniture following suit. Furnishings inlaid with mother of pearl with aged brass hardware and lamps with rice paper shades will complete the Asian inspired décor and allow the dragon comforter and bedding set to be the shining medallion or centerpiece of the bedroom’s design.
The luscious, lime green
dragon bedding
set needs no assistance provided from bright accent pieces. It would be a shame for a comforter of this kind to have to compete for dominance. The black, painted furniture that I suggested is not for the purpose of toning down the brightly colored fabrics. To the contrary, the dark colors are to lift this piece up so that it gets the attention that it so richly deserves.

MAKE YOUR STRIPED COMFORTER SETS FUNKY!

GO HERE FOR MORE
Striped comforter sets have become one of the most popular designs in bedding on the market today. It seems that every designer has at least one collection that features stripes. And why wouldn’t they? Stripes are so elegant and so chic it would be completely amiss of a marketing team worth their demographic charts to ignore the purchasing public’s love of this classic design.
Once the trend was in place,
striped comforter sets
became available in both upscale home and garden stores as well as discount stores. Your thread count and the number of decorative accessories and window treatments that were offered depended on how much you wanted to spend.
If you buy your striped bedding set as a bed in a bag, there will be every item of bedding included necessary to fully and completely make your bed ready to hop in for a long nap.
The flat and fitted sheets and pillowcases that are included in the collection may be a coordinating solid color or have stripes of a slightly wider or narrower in width to give some contrast and add interest to the set. You will certainly be safe in using the entire set and guaranteed a perfect match. But if you feel the need to spice things up a bit and be more adventurous I have a few ideas for decorating a teenage girls’ bedroom that will take that boring bed in a bag to a whole new level.
Toss a few of the matching accessories into the linen closet to use another time. Bring in something bold and funky. A striped comforter with polka dots is one option. Another is to accent your bedding’s stripes with bright flowers or geometric designs.
Don’t forget texture while you are in the throes of your decorating frenzy. Faux fur, metallic finishes, rhinestones and feathers in complimentary colors do a lot for giving your teenage girls bedroom a professionally decorated look.

NAUTICA BEDDING and COMFORTER SETS

GO HERE FOR MORE
There’s very little that might be perceived as frivolous or funky about classic
Nautica bedding
and comforters. My advice would be to consult with your teenage girl or boy before jumping into designing a bedroom using this style of quilt and shams.
That’s not to say that their bedding collections are without a fashionable and attractive appearance. To the contrary, I find their fabrics to be high quality and more substantial than many other more expensive brands. The sophisticated color combinations and fabric prints are right up my alley as well. But, the reason for this is that I am (sadly) not a teenage girl any longer.
PRICE
Nautica bedding and comforters are in the mid-range when it comes to bed linens even at full retail prices. If you are a savvy shopper and not in a pinch for time, you may be able to find a comforter for less than $50 which is a huge discount. If you have been in the stores lately you know this is a very inexpensive price for fabrics with reasonably high thread count.
COLORS AND DESIGNS
Nautica bedding has primarily been associated with vacation cottages at the ocean and nautical bedroom decor where stars and ship’s flags or beach style decorations are the norm. Bright, out of this world color schemes and designs tend to jangle my nerves rather than to calm me into a serene state of mind which as I get a little older tends to be necessary to lull me into sleep. For this reason classic stripes and plaids that have made the Nautica brand famous are just fine with me but your preteen or teen might want more variety.
This company didn’t get where they are in the marketplace today by ignoring bedroom decorating trends. This is evidenced by their move to branch off from the sailing side of ocean decor and into bright and colorful beach style ocean comforter sets. Nautica comforters in patchwork with Hawaiian print fabrics will appeal to a younger crowd with a penchant for tropical bedding rather than more formal Nautical bedding and decor.
BOTTOM LINE
The good news is that it’s hard to go wrong with Nautica bedding and comforter sets so far as quality is concerned. And you can enjoy those high standards with Nautica comfort sets in pink and green, paisley and tropical prints for your teenage girls bedding.

GIRLS BUTTERFLY BEDDING ENSEMBLES
GO HERE FOR MORE
There are as many styles of girls butterfly bedding as there are species of butterflies themselves. And the colors that these bedding ensembles come in are as delectable as can be when it comes to decorating a bedroom for a teenage girl or a nature lover of any age or sex.
FUNKY BUTTERFLIES
Hippies in the psychedelic days of flower power and acid trips were prone to gilding the lily when it came to butterflies. They liked their insects in giant sizes and in wild, funky colors like turquoise blue, lime green, hot pink and purple. This is not to say that you would be unable to find and identify these elegant insects sporting these colors. But it would be ever so doubtful to find an unfortunate species with wings that were covered in a hodgepodge mix all at once.
Such is not the case with teenage girls butterfly bedding and comforter sets in turquoise blue and lime green. Bright butterfly bedding sets in this color combination are not considered unseemly or weird. In fact, pumpkin orange might be added to the color scheme by some decorators just for giggles.
NATURAL BUTTERFLY BEDDING SETS
Not every teenage girl (or her concerned mother) prefers butterfly bedding sets designed with graphics and images out of some drugged out stoner’s bad trip. There are many that enjoy the designs that naturally occur on the wings of these delicate creatures in nature. For these sensitive young ladies there are comforters with pastel fabric prints showcasing butterflies that are light as air. Floating over backgrounds in whatever color you wish, you will find the stately monarch flitting happily in scenery that depicts perpetual spring of the year and ready to be the focal point of a girl’s garden bedroom.

BLACK and WHITE DRAWINGS of LADYBUGS
GO HERE FOR MORE
For the little lady who has moved beyond less mature art, perhaps black and white drawings of ladybugs will be a more appealing option for filling the need of a lucky ladybug or two in her bedroom. Pencil or cartoon drawings of our favorite insects are more creative than photographs and a world beyond the fanciful pictures that are commonly used to decorate the nurseries and bedrooms of much younger girls.
If you are artistic, you may want to exercise your creative talents and make your own ladybug drawings. The advantages to picking up a pencil or a piece of charcoal and art paper and taking a do it yourself approach to your subject is that you can use your imagination, enjoy the process and have a virtual guarantee that the results will match your bedroom’s decor.
Speaking of appropriate spaces for posters, pictures or black and white drawings of ladybugs; a teenage girl’s bedroom with a black and white polka dot comforter with splashes of red elsewhere in the room as an accent color would be perfect.
Black and white drawings of ladybugs rarely clash with any color scheme. So color is not an issue. However, if you make your own artwork, you can feature your black and white ladybugs engaged amusing activities that reflect your own personal interests and hobbies or surround them with any background of your choosing.
As an example, one big ladybug in the center of a single piece of paper is a graphic that will make a bold, modern statement that will be perfect for the walls of a contemporary style room. For a softer, natural look you might draw your ladybug lounging on a leaf or a blade of grass in a garden.
Whether your ladybug drawings are simply a practice session or to decorate a particular room in your home, I’m sure they will bring you joy and hopefully luck in the bargain.

TEENAGE GIRLS PINK and GREEN BEDROOMS
GO HERE FOR MORE
Pink and green bedrooms for teens. There fore, teenage girls green and pink bedding sets, quilts and comforters are at the top of many a birthday or Christmas wish list. Stripes, polka dots and floral fabrics with funky pom pom trim all figure into this fashionable teen bedroom decorating trend.
One decorating mistake that I see most often in pink and green bedrooms for teens is the lack of a third all important color. It is my opinion that pink and green bedrooms are not shown to full advantage without an accent color to set the combination off.
You might be wondering what color would best pull off this magical decorating feat. To answer your question, there is no definite answer. Some like to bounce some perky, white daisies in the decor that allow the other shades to dominate and others prefer an accent color like purple that will stand out in a bold manner. And then who says you can’t have your cake and eat it too with purple daisies?
Throw in an eye catching hot pink area rug and some faux fur throw pillows to layer over the pillow shams and there you will have a pink and green bedroom that is worthy of a spread in a teen girls decorating magazine.

EIFFEL TOWER WALL STICKERS

GO HERE FOR MORE
So what if you don’t have a room with a view. Eiffel Tower wall stickers can take the place of a picture window looking down on the cherry blossoms of Paris in springtime until you can book a flight and enjoy the real thing.
Large, easy to use vinyl decals are the perfect option for creating inexpensive bedroom decor to compliment your Eiffel Tower bedding set if you are renting, decorating while temporarily stuck in a college dorm room or if you like to update your room on a regular basis. If you find yourself feeling a little too crowded stuck in a small space with a giant national Parisian landmark on the wall by your bed simply peel the appliques and clings off the wall and roll them up for storage. That’s the beauty of peel and stick; easy on and easy off.
So long as you store your removable, vinyl Eiffel Tower wall stickers in a safe place they will be ready and waiting for the day that you want a touch of gay Paris in your bedroom décor once again. Another useful application for your decals would be as additional decorations for an Eiffel Tower Party . Your Eiffel Tower wall decals will go a long way towards setting the stage at a prom dance, graduation party or even a Parisian baby shower. You can bring them out of storage and use your reusable clings to decorate and when the party is over, roll them up and put them away until their services are necessary once again.

Eiffel Tower Bedding
GO HERE FOR MORE
Some teenage girls might balk at the idea of
Eiffel Tower bedding a the leading and that has anything less than a sophisticated color scheme. Without a doubt, black and white may be the way to go, but what colors should be used as accents? What colors are associated with all things Parisian?
Pictures of the Eiffel Tower are very popular elements in Pink poodle and Eiffel Tower bedding for Paris baby girl nursery themes. For that reason, you might expect your young lady to dismiss your teen bedroom decorating ideas that include your beloved poodle dog, FiFi, with her fur dyed a tasty pastel pink as an acceptable style of Paris decor for her room.
As we mentioned previously, black and white Eiffel Tower bedding would be ideal and very easily accessorized in the bargain. The monochromatic fabric will make your job of picking decorations for the rest of the room extremely easy. Lipstick red, electric blue or even lime green will work with the scenery of the most famous landmark of Paris in the background.
If the room begins to take on a look that you feel is too mature for a young girl, fluff things up a bit. Nothing says tween or preteen like a bright red faux fur area rug on the floor and funky, fur accent pillows for the bed.
The key to successful Parisian decor using Eiffel Tower bedding as a focal point is to keep the color scheme simple. Choose three main colors and make a solemn vow not to venture beyond those restrictions. Your teenage girl will be delighted at the level of sophistication that you have allowed her to enjoy in her bedroom.
